One hundred and eight Illinois children to date now have families and futures they may not have had, thanks to the 2001 Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act. And it was Save Abandoned Babies volunteers who drafted the law and lobbied for its passage, and continue to work to make sure parents in crisis know about this safe, legal option.
